With the Simple Mask filter, you can change the values of each pixel in the image according to a predefined mathematical operation known as convolution.
In each pixel is reassigned a value based on the values of surrounding pixels.
The available sizes of convolution masks are 2x2, 3x3, 5x5 and 7x7.
For example a 3x3 blur filter is:

1 1 1
divider: 9 offset: 0
